Introduction:  We tried to evaluate a pediatric surgeons operations during public service obligation .

Material-Methods: We evaluated the operations during 09/02/2009-07/12/2011 (except 1 year for military service). We operated 452 patients under general anesthesia and 166 of them were circumcision. 179 of 286 patients (%61.5)  were inguinal region pathology, 73 (%25.3) were acute abdomen, 27 (%9.5) were urological disorders, 8 %(3) were newborn pathologies and 2 were ( %0.7) trauma

Conclusion: Operation type and number in pediatric surgery can change due to substructure of hospital, the presence of another pediaric surgeon and education of surgeon.

Giriş: Devlet hizmet yükümlülüğü süresinde bir çocuk cerrahisi uzmanının yaptığı ameliyatları değerlendirmek istedik

Materyal-Metod : 09/02/2009-07/12/2011 (1 yıl askerlik nedeniyle ara verildi) arası yapılan ameliyatlar retrospektif olarak incelendi. Genel anestezi altında 166’sı sünnet olmak üzere toplam 452 hasta opere edildi. 286 vakanın 176 ‘sı %61.5 inguinal bölge patolojisi, 73’ü (%25.3) akut batın,  27’si (%9.5) ürolojik problemler, 8’i %(3) yenidoğan ve 2’si( %0.7) travma idi.

Sonuç:  Çocuk Cerrahisi uzmanları çalıştıkları hastanenin altyapı ve imkanları, beraber çalışabileceği ikinci cerrah varlığı ve aldığı eğitim paralelinde ameliyatlarını yapmaktadır.
