An eight-year-old boy was admitted with symptoms of acute abdomen and right inguinal swelling. Ultrasonography was showed tubular intestinal structure in the right inguinal hernia sac. In the laparoscopic exploration, acute appendicitis in the right Amyand’s Hernia was seen. Appendix was mobilized and successfully excised by using three trocars. The patient has been followed for 4 months postoperatively with no problem. The aim of the video presentation is to show the feasibility of minimal invasive surgery in the treatment of complicated Amyand’s Hernia by representing the surgical techniques of this case.

Sekiz yaşında erkek hasta sağ kasıkta şişlik ve akut batın semptomları ile başvurdu. Ultrasonografisinde sağ inguinal kese içerisinde tübüler barsak ansı saptandı. Hastaya yapılan acil laparoskopide Amyand Herni içerisinde akut appendisit saptandı. Serbestlenen appendiks eksize edildi. Hastanın postoperatif 4 aylık takibinde bir problemle karşılaşılmadı. Bu video sunumunun amacı bu olgudaki cerrahi teknik detayları göstererek Amyand Herni içerisinde akut appensisitin tedavisinde laparoskopik minimal invaziv cerrahinin uygulanabilirliliğini göstermektir.
