A giant juvenile fibroadenoma is defined as a fibroadenoma greater than 5 centimeters in size occuring in the pediatric age group. It affects adolescents frequently which rapid growth of the mass may result in breast asymmetry, deformity and pain. A 15-year old girl was referred to our clinic for a lump and pain in her right breast. A right breast sonogram demostrated a well-circumscribed heterogenous mass over 8 x7x4 centimeters which distorting the contour of her breast and causing significant breast asymmetry. The mass was excised with en-bloc resection via submammarian incision. The pressure bandage was applied for one week postoperatively and discharged with excellent cosmesis, breast symmetry and patient satisfaction. Due to rapid growth potential of the juvenile fibroadenoma, long term follow-up periods may cause unsatisfactory cosmetic results and become a source of psychosocial stress.

Dev jüvenil fibroadenom pediatrik yaş grubunda boyu 5 cm'yi geçen fibroadenomlar için kullanılan bir tanımlamadır. Sıklıkla adölesanları etkiler. Hızla büyüyerek memede asimetri,deformite ve ağrı oluşturur. Sağ memede ağrı ve palpasyonda ele gelen kitle yakınması ile kliniğimize başvuran 15 yaşındaki kız olgunun yapılan değerlendirmesinde yaklaşık 8 cm çapındaki iyi sınırlı kitlenin neredeyse meme dokusunun tamamına yakınını deplase ettiği ve belirgin meme asimetrisi oluşturduğu gözlendi. Ultrasonografik incelemede ise fibroadenom ile uyumlu olarak heterojen kitle görüntüsü saptandı. 8x7x4cm lik  kitle meme altı insizyonu ile en-bloc olarak eksize edildi. Postoperatif dönemde 1 hafta baskılı sargı uygulanan hastada mükemmel kozmetik sonuç ve hasta memnuniyeti elde edilmiştir. Takip süresinin uzatılarak fibroadenomun aşırı büyümesine olanak verilmesi operasyonlarda kozmetik sonuç elde edilmesini güçleştirmekte ve psikososyal stress kaynağı oluşturmaktadır.
