Neurenteric cyst is an extremely rare developmental anomaly that results from incomplete separation of the notochord from the foregut in the third weeks of embryogenesis. Prenatal detection of these cystic lesions has rarely been reported in the literature. Only 18 cases of prenatally demonstrated mediastinal thoracic neurenteric cyst have been reported previously.  We present a case of a neurenteric cyst associated with vertebral anomalies diagnosed by prenatal ultrasonography at 31 weeks of gestation which was treated successfully in the early neonatal period. The combination of thoracic cystic mass with vertebral anomalies on prenatal ultrasonography strongly suggest a neurenteric cyst. Prenatal diagnosis of a mediastinal neurenteric cyst enables early intervention and appropriate neonatal management.

Nöroenterik kist, embiryo gelişiminin 3. haftasında notokord ve ön-barsağın tam olmayan ayrılması sonucu ortaya çıkan ve oldukça nadir görülen gelişimsel bir  anomalidir. Bu  kistik lezyonların,  doğum öncesi tespit edilmesi literatürde oldukça nadirdir. Literatürde doğum öncesi dönemde tespit edilen yalnız 18 mediastinal nöroenterik kist olgusu rapor edilmiştir. Biz bu sunumda 31. gebelik haftasında ultrasonografi ile tanı konulan ve erken yenidoğan dönemde  başarı ile tedavi edilen, vertabral anomalilerin eşlik ettiği mediastinal nöroenterik kist vakasını bildirdik. Doğum öncesi  ultrasonografide torasik kistik kitle ile birlikte vertebral anomalilerin görülmesi  kuvvetle nöroenterik kisti düşündürür. Nöroenterik kiste doğum öncesinde tanı konulması uygun yaklaşımı ve erken girişim imkanını sağlar
