Aim: Ingested foreign bodies may migrate into the appendix rarely and cause complications. Herein, we present a girl with a pin into the appendix treated with minimally invasive surgery.

Case: A 16-year-old girl was brought to our clinic with the complaint of a swallowed pin in her abdomen for 3 months. There were no significant findings in physical examination. Abdominal radiography revealed the pin in the abdominal pelvis. The patient underwent laparoscopic transumbilical scarless surgery (with hidden incision) using the Thoracic Trocar Technique. The pin was seen into the appendix and caused inflammation. The pin had removed easily with preserving the appendix. The patient had no scarring other than hidden umbilical scar. The patient was discharged on the following day. There was no problem in the 6-month follow-up.

Conclusion: Swallowed pins migrated into the appendix can be easily removed laparoscopically without scar by Thoracic Trocar Technique with preserving the appendix.

Amaç: Yutulan yabancı cisimler nadiren de olsa appendiks içerisine girerek komplikasyonlara yol açabilir. Burada appendiks içerisine girmiş topuzlu iğneli kız olgunun minimal invazif tedavisini sunuyoruz.

Olgu: Onaltı yaşında yaşında bir kız hasta 3 ay önce yuttuğu topuzlu iğnenin karnında olması şikayeti ile getirildi. Fizik muayenesinde anlamlı bulguya rastlanmadı. Çekilen batın grafisinde iğne abdominal pelviste olduğu saptandı. Hastaya Torasik Trokar Tekniği ile laparoskopik Transumbilikal İzsiz (gizli insizyon) Cerrahi uygulandı. Topuzlu iğnenin appendiks içerine yerleştiği ve burada inflamasyon yaptığı görüldü. Appendiks korunarak iğne kolayca çıkarıldı. Hastada gizli göbek izi dışında yara izi yoktu. Postoperatif sorunu olmayan hasta ertesi günü taburcu edildi. 6 aylık takibinde sorunu olmadı.

Sonuç: Appendiks içerisine yerleşmiş yutulan iğneler appendiks korunarak torasik trokar tekniği ile laparoskopik olarak izsiz kolayca çıkarılabilir.
