Patient safety has become a hot topic on the importance of both national and international level  recently. Widespread of quality and accreditation in the field of health carehas accelerated increase of patient safety awareness  in our country.

According to data of  WHO, one of the 25 people in the world  are operated at least once in his/her life. Therefore, patient safety at operating room is a subject to be emphasized.

Errors that threaten patient safety in the OR, cause errors to occur in the infrastructure and work environment conditions as well as may be caused by the surgical team. Ensure  patient safety is the duty of  surgeon, anesthesiologist, nurse, medical technicians, and  everyone who  involved in the OR.

Before surgery, last check is done for the right patient, the right side and the correct operation, and saved in the appropriate form signed by a team. To provide a safe patient care environment in operating rooms; the architectural structure of operating room, cleanliness, ambient temperature, devices and electrical safety, ensuring security in the transfer of patients and operative positions, safety of the use of chemicals, fire safety and  drugs safety need to be provided

In the operating room during their stay; to secure and protect patient safety, the creation of appropriate physical environment and implementation of adequate and legal documentation is of great importance The methods used in our operation on patient safety, will be presented to you via video presentation.

Hasta güvenliği son dönemde hem ulusal hem de uluslararası platformda üzerinde önemle durulan bir konu haline gelmiştir. Ülkemizde sağlık hizmetleri alanında kalite ve akreditasyon çalışmalarının yaygınlaşması hasta güvenliği konusunda duyarlılığın artmasını hızlandırmıştır.

    WHO (Dünya Sağlık Örgütü) verilerine göre dünyada her 25 kişiden biri hayatı boyunca en az bir kere ameliyat olmaktadır. Bu nedenle ameliyathanede hasta güvenliği, üzerinde önemle durulması gereken bir konudur.

    Ameliyathanede hasta güvenliğini tehdit eden hatalar ameliyat ekibi kaynaklı olabileceği gibi alt yapı ve çalışma çevresi koşulları da hataların oluşmasına neden olmaktadır. Hasta güvenliğini sağlamak cerrah, anestezi uzmanı, hemşire, sağlık teknisyenleri ve ameliyatta görev alan herkesin görevidir.

    Ameliyata başlamadan önce doğru hasta, doğru taraf, doğru işlem için son kontrol yapılır ve uygun forma kaydedilerek ekip tarafından imzalanır. Ameliyathanelerde  güvenli bir hasta bakım ortamı sağlamak için; ameliyathane  salonunun mimarı  yapısı, temizliği, ortam ısısı, cihaz ve elektrik güvenliği, hasta transferinde ve ameliyat pozisyonlarında güvenliğin sağlanması, kimyasalların güvenli kullanımı, yangın güvenliği  ve ilaçların güvenliğinin sağlanması gerekir.

    Ameliyathanede bulundukları süre boyunca; hastaların güvenliğini sağlamak ve korumak için yeterli ve yasal dökümantasyonun uygulanması ve uygun fiziki çevrenin oluşturulması büyük önem taşımaktadır. Ameliyathanemizde hasta güvenliği ile ilgili uygulanan yöntemler video sunumu ile tarafınıza sunulacaktır.
