The paediatric nursing perceptions of nursing students and career planning

No 27910, published in the Official Journal of Nursing Regulation Amending the Regulation, Pediatric Nursing definition is as follows: Universal children's rights in accordance with physical and professional nursing roles within the family and society children between 0-18 years of age, cognitive, emotional and social aspects of healthy growth and development, increase to the highest level of protection of health and disease; treatment of the sick child is ill, the nurse responsible for the care and rehabilitation. Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery Nurse, it provides pediatric care with the mother (or the accompanying person) should also be included in maintenance. Compared to other areas of nursing, child and surgical nursing it is one of the areas that require more attention. Therefore, especially inhibitions about working in children's services just graduated nurses are outstanding. Surgical procedures in children include generally unpleasant and difficult experience for themselves and their families. children in this process is quite intense anxiety and stress of living. Pediatric patients have quite complex located directly affecting the operation process. Because the child does not include patient care only routine maintenance procedures and surgical patient care in the operating room. Children surgical nursing, child airway anatomy and physiology, to know the child development requires the ability to take care of the family and child. The purpose of this study; nursing students to determine their views on children's surgical nursing and positive, be able to explain the reasons for the negative opinion. The study, nursing students, nursing children is planned to measure perceptions and career plans. The study, 3 universities in Istanbul, Child Health and Disease Nursing have taken the course and the nursing department who conducted the training is carried out with the participation of students. Work is still ongoing, the data will be presented at the congress orally.

27910 sayılı resmi gazete yayınlanan Hemşirelik Yönetmeliğinde Değişiklik Yapılmasına Dair Yönetmelikte, Pediatri Hemşireliği tanımı şu şekildedir: Evrensel çocuk hakları ve profesyonel hemşirelik rolleri doğrultusunda 0-18 yaş arasındaki çocukların aile ve toplum içinde fiziksel, bilişsel, duygusal ve sosyal yönden sağlıklı büyüme ve gelişmesi, hastalıklardan korunması ve sağlığının en üst düzeyine çıkarılması; hastalandığında hasta çocuğun tedavisi, bakımı ve rehabilitasyonundan sorumlu hemşiredir. Pediatri ve Pediatrik Cerrahi Hemşiresi, bakım vermekte olduğu çocuk hasta ile birlikte, annesini (veya refakat eden kişi) de bakıma dahil etmelidir. Diğer alan hemşireliklerine oranla, çocuk ve çocuk cerrahi hemşireliği daha fazla dikkat gerektiren alanların başında gelmektedir. Bu yüzden, özellikle yeni mezun olan hemşirelerin çocuk servislerinde çalışma konusunda çekingenlikleri göze çarpmaktadır.  Çocuklarda cerrahi süreç, kendileri ve aileleri için genelde hoş olmayan ve zor deneyimleri içermektedir. Bu süreçteki çocuk, anksiyete ve stresi oldukça yoğun yaşamaktadır. Çocuk hastalar, ameliyat sürecine doğrudan etki eden oldukça karmaşık konuma sahiptir. Çünkü çocuk hastanın bakımı sadece rutin cerrahi bakım prosedürünü ve ameliyathanedeki hasta bakımını içermez. Çocuk cerrahi hemşireliği, çocuk hava yolunu, anatomi ve fizyolojisini, çocuk gelişimini bilmeyi, çocuk ile ailenin bakımını üstlenebilmeyi gerektirir. Bu çalışmanın amacı; hemşirelik öğrencilerinin çocuk cerrahi hemşireliği hakkındaki görüşlerini tespit etmek ve olumlu, olumsuz görüşlerin nedenlerini açıklayabilmektir. Çalışma, hemşirelik öğrencilerinin, çocuk hemşireliği algılarını ve kariyer planlarını ölçmek amacıyla planlanmıştır. Çalışma, İstanbuldaki 3 üniversitede, Çocuk Sağlığı ve Hastalıkları Hemşireliği dersini almış ve stajını yapmış olan hemşirelik bölümü öğrencilerinin katılımı ile yapılmaktadır. Çalışma halen devam etmekte olduğundan, veriler sözlü olarak kongrede sunulacaktır.
