Evaluation on Pediatric Nurses on Knowledge And Practices Related to The Crush Syndrome Caused by An Earthquake in Pediatric Surgical Wards

Aim: Pediatric nurses have an important role and responsibilities in the care and treatment of children affected by disaster. The aim of this study is to evaluate the knowledge of nurses working in pediatric surgery clinics on crush syndrome, which is the second leading cause of death after an earthquake, and their practices for the management of crush syndrome.
Method: The study, which was designed in descriptive type, was carried out between August 2023 and September 2023 with 78 nurses working in the Pediatric Surgery clinics of Ankara Bilkent City Hospital and agreed to participate in the study. The data were collected with the "Descriptive characteristics data form" and the "Nurse' Knowledge and Practice Evaluation Form on Earthquake-Related Crush Syndrome", which were prepared by the researchers in line with the literature review. The data will be evaluated using the SPSS 24.0 statistical package program.

Çocuk Hemşirelerinin Çocuk Cerrahisi Kliniğinde Depreme Bağlı Yaşanan Ezilme (Crush) Sendromu İle İlgili Bilgi Ve Uygulamalarının Değerlendirilmesi

Amaç: Çocuk hemşireleri, afetten etkilenen çocukların bakımında ve tedavisinin uygulanmasında önemli bir rol ve sorumluluklara sahiptir. Bu çalışmanın amacı çocuk cerrahi kliniklerinde çalışan hemşirelerin deprem sonrası ikinci sırada ölüme neden olan ezilme (Crush) sendromu konusundaki bilgi ve ezilme sendromunun yönetimine yönelik uygulamalarını değerlendirmektir.
Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı tipte tasarlanan çalışma Ankara Bilkent Şehir Hastanesi’nin Çocuk Cerrahi kliniklerinde çalışan ve araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden 78 hemşire ile Ağustos 2023-Eylül 2023 tarihleri arasında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veriler, araştırmacılar tarafından literatür incelemesi doğrultusunda hazırlanmış olan ‘’Tanıtıcı özellikler veri formu’’ ve “Depreme Bağlı Yaşanan Ezilme (Crush) Sendromu ile ilgili Hemşire Bilgi ve Uygulama Değerlendirme Formu” ile toplanmıştır. Veriler SPSS 24.0 istatistik paket programı kullanılarak değerlendirilecektir.
