Spermatic cord hydrocele (SCH) is a loculated fluid collection along the spermatic cord, separated from and located above the testicle and the epididymis. This entity is a rare congenital anomaly Cord  Hydroceles are congenital or acquired.Idiopathic infected cord hydrocele in infants is a extremely rare. It has not been reported in the literature. We report the case of an idiopathic infected SCHin a 2-year-old boy who unresponded to antibiotics.

An infected SCH in a child has not been described and consequently not included in the differential diagnosis of patients with acute surgical conditions of the scrotal region. Attention should be called to and emphasis is placed on the surgical exploration of this unusual case.

Spermatik kord hidroseli (SKH), testis ve epididimden ayrı olarak kor yanında sıvı birikimidir. Kord hidroseli de demir ve nadir görülen konjenital anomalilerdendir. Enfekte olmuş ve kord hidroseli oldukça nadirdir. Literatürde rastlanmamıştır. Bu makalede 2 yaşında enfekte olmuş ve antibiyotik tedavisine cevap vermeyen SKH’li olguyu rapor ettik.

Enfekte SKH ayırıcı tanıda akut skrotum nedenleri arasında sayılmamaktadır. Cerrahi explorasyon esnasında bu tür olgularla karşılaşılabileceği unutulmamalı ve dikkat edilmelidir.
