EVALUATION OF PATIENTS WITH VOIDING DYSFUNCTION BASED ON VOIDING SYMPTOM SCORES

In order to select the correct treatment regimen and avoid redundant invasive techniques, obtaining a complete anamnesis and correct assessment of the symptoms are important in the evaluation of patients with voiding dysfunction. The voiding symptom score form is a useful tool to evaluate and classify voiding dysfunctions, as well as to assess treatment response. In the present study, patients with voiding dysfunction were planned to be assessed based on the voiding symptom score form completed during the initial referral. Fifty cases that agreed to complete the form were included in the study. Six cases (12%) were considered to have monosymptomatic nocturnal enuresis. Median age in the MEN group was 9 years (8-12 years). Mean voiding symptom score was 9.5. Out of 44 cases with daytime and nighttime enuresis, 26 were male and 18 were female. Median age was 8 years (5-14 years). Mean voiding symptom score was 20.4+2.3. Seventeen of 44 cases with enuresis also had complaints of constipation. Mean symptom score of the patients with constipation was 22.0+3.6. Mean symptom score in the group without complaints of constipation was 19.3+2.6. The voiding symptom score may effectively guide the classification, assessment, and follow-up of treatment response in patients with voiding dysfunction.
İŞEME BOZUKLUGU OLAN HASTALARIN İŞEME SEMPTOM SKORU İLE DEGERLENDİRİLMESİ

İşeme bozuklugu olan hastaların değerlendirilmesi için iyi bir anamnez alınması ve semptomların doğru şekilde değerlendirilmesi gereksiz invaziv tetkiklerin istenmesi ve doğru tedavi rejiminin seçilmesinde önemlidir.İşeme semptom skoru formu işeme bozukluklarının değerlendirilmesi ve sınıflamasında ayrıca tedaviye cevabında değerlendirilmesinde faydalıdır. Bu çalışmada işeme bozuklugu olan hastalar ilk başvuruda işeme semptom skoru formu ile degerlendirilmesi planlanmıştır.Çalışmaya formu doldurmayı kabul eden 50 olgu dahil edilmiştir. Olguların 6'sı (%12) monosemptomatik enürezis nokturna olarak degerlendirilmiştir.MEN grubundaki olguların yaş ortancası 9 (8-12 yaş) idi.İşeme semptom skoru ortalaması 9,5 idi.Gündüz ve gece idrar kaçırması olan 44 olgunun 26'sı erkek 18'i kızdı.Olguların yaş ortancası 8 (5-14 yaş) idi.İşeme semptom skoru ortalaması 20,4 +2,3 idi. Enürezisi olan 44 olgunun 17'sinde kabızlık şikayeti vardı.Kabızlık şikayeti olan hastaların semptom skoru ortalaması 22,0+3,6 idi.Kabızlık şikayeti olmayan grupta semptom skoru ortalaması 19,3+2,6 idi. İşeme semptom skoru hastaların sınıflamasında, değerlendirilmesinde ve tedaviye cevabın ölçülmesinde yol gösterici olabilir.
