Congenital anterior urethrocutaneous midpenile fistula in Turkey with penile chordee : a case report

Introduction:
congenital anterior urethrocutaneous fistula (CAUF) is very rare with only 63 cases reported in the literature six of them in Turkey. It may present in an isolated fashion or in association with hypospadias or chordee. The cause of this problem is unclear but, a focal defect in the urethral plate can prevents fusion of the urethral folds. We report a 3-year-old male with midpenile congenital anterior urethrocutaneous fistula with chordee.
Case Presentation:
A three-year-old boy referred to our pediatric surgery department presented with passage urine from an abnormal opening in ventral surface of the penis. On examination, there was mid‑penile ventral opening with normal external urethral meatus. The prepuce and glans were normal with about 30 degree ventral chordee. The patient underwent surgical correction.
Conclusion:
Congenital anterior urethrocutaneous fistula is an uncommon defect that may occur at any location along the anterior male urethra. Thankfully, with accurate diagnosis and appropriate surgical treatment, this condition can be managed successfully and efficiently.
Penil kordi ile birlikte konjenital anterior üretra-kütanöz midpenil fistül: Bir case report

Amaç:
Konjenital anterior üretra-kutanöz fistül çok nadir görülür; literatürde yalnızca 63 vaka bildirilmiş olup, bunlardan altısı Türkiye’dendir. Fistül, izole olarak ya da hipospadias veya kordi ile birlikte görülebilir. Bu sorunun nedeni kesin olarak bilinmemekle birlikte, üretral platdaki lokalize bir defekt, üretral kıvrımların füzyonunu engelleyebilir. Bu yazımızda kordi eşlik eden midpenil konjenital anterior üretra-kutanöz fistülü olan 3 yaşında erkek bir olguyu sunuyoruz.
Olgu Sunumu:
Polikliniğimize başvuran 3 yaşındaki erkek çocuk, penisin ventral yüzeyinde anormal bir açıklıktan idrar geçişi şikayeti ile getirildi. Muayenede, midpenil ventralde bir açıklık ve normal dış üretra meatusu izlendi. Prepusyum ve glans normaldi, yaklaşık 30 derece ventral kordi mevcuttu. Hasta cerrahi düzeltme ameliyatı yapıldı.
Sonuç:
Konjenital anterior üretra-kutanöz fistül, erkek anterior üretrasının herhangi bir yerinde oluşabilen nadir bir defekttir. Doğru tanı ve uygun cerrahi tedavi ile bu durum başarılı ve etkin bir şekilde yönetilebilir.
