AIM: Acute testicular torsion is a urological emergency. Detorsion should be performed in the shortest possible time. In this study we present our results of 5 patients with testis torsion in which manual detorsion was performed.

MATERIAL METHOD: Five patients presenting to our clinic from January 2013 to January 2014 with testicular torsion in whom manual detorsion was performed were included in the study. Symptom scores, scrotal pain and erythema, nausea and vomiting and manual detorsion degree was noted. The diagnosis or testis torsion and success of detorsion was made by doppler USG.

RESULTS:

CONCLUSION: Manual detorsion is possible in patients with early presentation of testicular torsion.

AMAÇ: Akut testis torsiyonu, acil müdahale gerektiren ürolojik hastalıklardan biridir. Detorsiyonun kısa sürede yapılması gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmada, manüel detorsiyon yaptığımız 5 hastanın özelliklerini sunmayı amaçladık.
MATERYAL METOD: Ocak 2013 – Ocak 2014 tarihleri arasında kliniğimize başvuran ve manüel detorsiyon yapılan 5 hasta çalışmaya dahil edildi. Semptom süresi, skrotal ağrı ve kızarıklık ile bulantı-kusma varlığı ve manüel detorsiyon derecesine bakıldı. Testis torsiyonu tanısı ve detorsiyonun başarısı doppler USG ile konuldu.
BULGULAR:

SONUÇ: Erken dönemde gelen testis torsiyonlarının manüel detorsiyonu ile acil müdahalesi mümkündür.
