Purpose:
Minimally invasive surgery (MIS) has become increasingly applicable in pediatric tumour surgery with advances in technical equipment and surgeon experience. This study aims to present five selected pediatric oncological cases operated on with minimally invasive methods in our clinic between September 2020 and December 2023.

Methods:
Patients suitable for MIS were selected after preoperative radiological and serological examinations and multidisciplinary evaluation involving pediatric oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and surgeons. All operations were performed by the most experienced senior surgeon in both laparoscopic and oncological surgery.

Results:
All five patients were male, with a mean age of 9.3 years (range: 6 months–16 years). One patient underwent thoracoscopic excision of a mediastinal mass, three patients underwent laparoscopic adrenalectomy, and one underwent laparoscopic nephrectomy. The average hospital stay was 5.2 days (range: 3–7 days). No postoperative complications were observed.

Conclusion:
In our clinic, approximately 150 minimally invasive surgeries are performed annually. Our experience suggests that MIS can be safely applied in pediatric oncology when performed by experienced surgeons in carefully selected cases.
