Title:

Hybrid Technique in Redo Surgery for Severe Stricture Post Esophageal Atresia Repair: A Video Demonstration

Abstract:

Recurrent severe anastomotic stricture after esophageal atresia (EA) repair presents a significant surgical challenge, especially in cases unresponsive to dilatation. This video demonstrates a hybrid approach that combines endoscopic visualization and intraoperative guidance with thoracoscopic dissection and anastomotic reconstruction. The endoscope aids in precise stricture localization and safe esophageal handling, while thoracoscopy allows meticulous resection and tension-free re-anastomosis. This combined modality enhances surgical accuracy, minimizes complications, and preserves esophageal length. The technique is particularly valuable in complex redo cases where conventional approaches carry high risks.
