Introduction; Penile trauma is rare in pediatrics because the penis is mobile and largely protected by its position. Pediatric penile trauma has different from the adults that underlying causes and forms of trauma, and therefore being rarely reported. It may be iatrogenic during circumcision or caused by domestic animal attack, child abuse, motor vehicle accidents or trapping in a zipper; penile strangulation by hair or thread has also been reported. Penile trauma varying degrees of severity ranging from skin or meatal injury, partial glanular amputation to total penile amputation.

Our case is most rare that penile trauma due to a vacuum cleaner in children.

Case report; Male child is four old year that he is apply to emergency department because of penis trauma. Penis of child trapping in a vacuum cleaner that he is game with it. He has got hematoma and laceration in preputium. His glans and urethral meatus is normal. Patient is circumcised by pediatric surgeon and injury is removed.

 Conclusion:

In our country, ritual circumcision injuries are the most common causes of penile trauma in children(3). Good functional and cosmetic results are possible in most cases(3). While there are penile traumas with a vacuum cleaner in adult, this trauma is first in child(4). At the present day, household cleaning tools can be a risk to children’s trauma. Therefore, parents be careful about the use of household appliances. 

 GİRİŞ:

Penis travması, penisin posizyonu ve mobil olması nedeni ile son derece nadirdir. Pediatrik penil travma sebepleri ve oluş şekli nedeni ile yetişkinlerden farklıdır ve dolayısı ile daha az rapor edilir. Penil travmalar sünnete bağlı iatrojenik olabildiği gibi, hayvan ısırıkları, taşıt kazaları, fermuarda sıkışma, insan saçı veya iplikle penisin strangülasyonu gibi etkenler rapor edilmiştir .

Biz bu çalışmada çocuklarda son derece nadir görülen elektrik süpürgesine penisini kaptıran çocuk vakamızı sunmak istedik.

Vaka sunumu; 4 yaşında erkek çocuğu acile penis travması nedeni ile getirildi. Çocuk annesi temizlik yaptıktan sonra odada kaldırılmadan bırakılan elektrik süpürgesi ile oynayıp, penisini elektrik süpürgesine kaptırmış. Fizik muayenesinde prepisyumunda hematom ve laserasyon mevcuttu. Glans ve üretral meatus normaldi. Hasta  ailenin isteğide dikkate alınarak sünnet edilerek tedavi edildi .

Sonuç: Bizim ülkemizde sünnet bir dinsel gerekliliktir ve çocuklarda penis travmasının en sık nedenidir. Travmalar sonucu onarımda çoğu vakada iyi kozmetik ve fonksiyonel sonuçlar elde edilir. Elektrik süpürgesine bağlı penis travması yetişkinlerde görülebilmektedir, ancak küçük çocuklarda son derece nadir bir durumdur. Günümüzde ev içi temizlik araçları çocuk travmaları için risk oluşturabilmektedir. Bu nedenle aileler ev içi aletleri kullanırken dikkatli olmalıdır.
